The Chairman of Board of Managers of Turkish Businesswomen Association (TİKAD) Nilüfer Bulut said “if we are requesting equality, we can not say they we are deficient” and declared that she was against the positive discrimination. Bulut defined TİKAD as “woman version” of Turkish Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association (TÜSİAD). The World Businesswomen Summit, which is organized by Women in Business International in every year in another country, will be held on 27-28 April in İstanbul with the initiative of TİKAD. Bulut, the Chairman of TİKAD which will host approximately 500 businesswomen from 35 countries, declares that she is against the positive discrimination although there are association’s members supporting it. Bulut, stating that “If we request, we request in an equal way without making man woman discrimination” said that the women accepted their deficiency in case the positive discrimination was requested while making equality struggle. In the meanwhile, the participations of wives of leaders of the various countries are also expected as the invitee of Prime Minister Erdoğan and his wife Emine Erdoğan.
